国立西洋美術館は、ル・コルビュジエの設計による建築作品として世界遺産に登録され、2026年7月に登録10周年という節目を迎えます。
これを記念し、MT Galleryは写真家・瀧本幹也による作品を収録した写真集を刊行いたします。
本写真集は、国立西洋美術館の全面的な協力のもと、通常は撮影が難しい館内や屋上を含む外観の撮影を行い、建築、空間、そして光が織りなす同館の魅力を、芸術的な視点から捉えたものです。
ル・コルビュジエの建築作品としての建築的価値はもとより、美術館が有する文化的意義を新たな視点から 記録し、広く発信します。
また、本写真集には、このたび新たに撮り下ろした作品、全41点を掲載。国立西洋美術館の普遍的価値を後世へ継承する文化資料となることを目指すとともに、来館者をはじめ、 国内外の学生・研究者に向けて、建築と美術館の魅力を広く伝える一冊となります。

LE CORBUSIER — THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF WESTERN ART

The National Museum of Western Art, designed by Le Corbusier, was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and will mark the 10th anniversary of its inscription in July 2026.
To commemorate this milestone, MT Gallery will publish a photo book featuring works by photographer Mikiya Takimoto.
Produced with the full cooperation of the museum, this publication includes photographs of areas not usually accessible, such as interior spaces and the rooftop, as well as the exterior. Through an artistic lens, it captures the museum’s distinctive character shaped by architecture, space, and light. Beyond its architectural significance as a work by Le Corbusier, the book newly documents and communicates the museum’s cultural value from a fresh perspective.
The volume features 41 newly commissioned works. It is conceived as a cultural record that will carry the museum’s universal value forward to future generations, while offering visitors, as well as students and researchers in Japan and abroad, a deeper appreciation of both the architecture and the museum itself.
